/ Challenge

What problem was solving?

For many women, especially those from underserved communities, formalizing as a Microentrepreneur Individual (MEI) can feel overwhelming, bureaucratic, and distant. The language used by official channels is often technical and inaccessible, offering little emotional support or guidance to help them navigate the process with confidence.

Beyond the practical barriers, many women feel that entrepreneurship spaces were not built for them — creating a sense of exclusion that prevents them from taking the first step toward financial independence and formalization.

The opportunity was to design an experience that not only simplifies the MEI process, but actively creates a sense of belonging, making women feel seen, supported, and capable of owning their entrepreneurial journey.

/ Solution

How solved it?

I designed Elas no MEI, an educational app that transforms the MEI formalization process into an intuitive, supportive, and human-centered journey built specifically for women.

The app combines clear and accessible information with a community space where users can connect, share experiences, and support each other through every step. Inclusive design principles were applied throughout — from the language and tone to the visual identity — to ensure every woman feels welcomed and capable from the very first interaction.

The result is a digital experience that reduces friction, builds confidence, and makes entrepreneurship feel achievable — turning a complex bureaucratic process into a journey women feel empowered to complete.
