A mobile and Vision Pro journaling app that transforms memories into collectible origami inside an interactive 3D world inspired by Japanese landscapes. Users create expressive journal pages with text, photos, music, drawings, and stickers, blending emotional design with spatial experiences.
/ Challenge
Traditional journaling apps focus on text-based entries or simple photo albums, leaving little room for emotional depth or creative expression. Many people struggle to capture the nuance of their feelings, intentions, and memories in a format that feels truly personal, meaningful, and alive.
The opportunity was to reimagine journaling as an immersive, creative act — one that reflects not just what happened, but how it felt, and turns everyday memories into something worth preserving and revisiting.
/ Solution
A mobile and Vision Pro app that combines emotional journaling with an interactive 3D world inspired by Japanese aesthetics — gardens, lakes, and traditional temples.
Users create personalized scrap pages using text, photos, music, drawings, and stickers, building compositions that reflect meaningful moments and emotions. When a journal is complete, it transforms into a collectible origami figure that appears inside the virtual environment, creating a landscape that grows and evolves alongside the memories being preserved.
The project also explored Apple's spatial computing ecosystem, using Reality Composer and native Apple technologies to develop immersive environments, animations, and interactions — bridging emotional design with digital spatial experiences.
Created in Reality Composer and designed to convey tranquility, making the experience of creating entries more comfortable and welcoming.
A free-form space to build each scrap page — combining photos, text, stickers, drawings, and music into personalized compositions that capture the mood of the moment.
/ Vision Pro Experience
The app was extended to Vision Pro, unlocking spatial interactions and a richer, more immersive user experience. This evolution was grounded in extensive research into the device's capabilities and interaction patterns, shaping a design that feels truly sensory and native to the platform.
